Hi, I am not sure if this post is all that relevant, and it's kind of a long shot, but I really couldn't find many places to ask...

I'm looking for a specific image from an issue of Gaiman's Sandman, that I wish to get tattooed. I've only got the bound trades, and because this image goes over a double page spread, it distorts the middle quite badly. I was wondering if anyone had any of the regular paper issues, and would be able to scan the one panel for me? I can't find the issue I need for sale anywhere, and even if I could find it, I probably couldn't afford to buy it.

The image would only be for personal use, just to be able to get a flat copy of it to take to a tattooist. I don't think sharing that would breach any copyright/distribution issues?

The scan I'm looking for is a strip of images of Matthew the raven, flying with a photograph in his beak. It's in the Doll's House trade, in the same story as Rose searching for her younger brother.

If anyone could help out, I would really appreciate it, I adore the artwork and don't want to spoil it by using a distorted image. X-posted, a bit

The Graveyard Book [Oct. 6th, 2008|12:04 pm]
Dave McKean fans

Just a quick note to remind everyone that The Graveyard Book, featuring illustrations by Dave McKean is out now!
I haven't gotten too far yet, but there are quite a few illustrations and the books is intriguing me. It was in the Independent Reader section of Borders (in the kids section) if you have trouble finding it. We all know it's not just for kids though. :)

Keanoshow: July 31st 2008 [Jul. 16th, 2008|01:46 pm]
Dave McKean fans

Hi everyone,

Looks like round 2 of the release of Keanoshow is coming up. Most online retailers are giving a date of July 31st 2008, and that matches the sell sheet on the New Video website as well.

Hopefully we won't see another year-long delay.

7pm, Tuesday October 9th
Kingston Museum
There's an exhibition of his artwork running from 22nd September to 17th November at Kingston Museum, but on 9th October Dave himself will be there talking about his work. Tickets are available from http://www.kingston.gov.uk/eticketing. There are still (at the moment) tickets available from the venue - only £3.50 each.

Keanoshow Delayed until 2008 [Sep. 4th, 2007|10:25 am]
Dave McKean fans

Hi all,

Received an email from New Video NYC:

Thanks for your interest in DAVE McKEAN'S KEANOSHOW. We're currently waiting on Dave to finish and edit some additional portions of the DVD, and we should have this back on our release schedule for some time in Early 2008. I will contact you as soon as it becomes available."

So no release for 2007.

I was in my local comic book store yesterday and they had a copy of Cages!

I've been wanting to read it for years. I've never seen a copy of it anywhere.

I'vethought about buying it used a few times but I really wanted a new copy.

So I sprung for it. Can't wait to read it. This should tide me over til Keanoshow comes out.

Keanoshow delayed indefinitely? [Aug. 28th, 2007|11:17 am]
Dave McKean fans

Keanoshow was bumped last month to a August 28th (today) release. Today has come around, and all retail outlets I've inquired to (Barnes and Noble, Borders, Target, Best Buy) now tell me they get "delayed indefinitely" as a release date.

Does anyone have a copy of this yet? My email to the label putting out the dvd has gone unanswered.
